Higher resolutions and/or color depths (than those listed in the above table) are possible in Links LS 2000. They will require more memory than those listed above.

Please note that these are estimates. If you have problems, increasing the memory size may cause the problems to clear up. If the program exits for no reason to the Finder, it is likely that you need to give the program more memory.

To change the amount of memory that is allocated to Links LS 2000, single click the Links LS 2000 icon in the Finder and Choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu. Choose Memory from the "Show" popup menu and change both the Minimum and Preferred memory sizes to the above value.

Changes in 1.0.4

Fixed a bug which was causing the saved game file to be written incorrectly. This made it impossible to resume a saved game using some MOPs (MOPs that used scoring events). This fix will not fix saved games that have been created in earlier versions so resuming those games still may not work.

Changes in 1.0.3

Keyboard input has been fixed for choosing balls in bestball.

INI file corruption problem should be fixed. Links LS 2000 will now delete any existing bad INI files (and recreate them) as they are discovered.

Powerstroke sensitivity setting is now saved.

More string fixes.

Removed powerstroke fix from 1.0.3b1 because it affected swing performance.

Verified that transfering MOPs works in network play.

Spin the cursor when processing sound for transfer in network play.

Minor sound fixes related to environmental sounds and flag sounds.

Fixed crash after editting player names in tournaments.

Fixed more typos in text messages.

Fixed bug which made cart path out of bounds and other areas in bounds. As a side effect of fixing this bug, some areas that were out of bounds in previous versions are playable now and some areas which were playable before are now considered out of bounds. We have verified this fix against the Windows version of Links LS 2000 and both versions now play the same way.

Fixed bug which ate first click when placing aiming marker or swinging.

Improved old course installations and fixed problem using "Different CD" button to install courses.

Fixed free disc space calculations to work properly on very large volumes.

Fixed MOP designer crash.

Powerstroke can be exitted by pressing ESC or any other key.

Reaction sounds complete before post shot dialog is display and reaction sounds can be cancelled by clicking.

Delete sound script now works in all cases.

Fixed some typos in text messages.

Game version number is now displayed correctly in multiplayer dialogs.

Changes in 1.0.2

Fixed a bug in the version verification which prevented some network games from starting.

Fixed a bug in the version verification which prevented some network games from being resumed.

Changes in 1.0.1

640 x 480 mode works better in this version.

Memory usage has been improved. If there is enough memory to start a game, there should be enough memory to complete that game.

Multiplayer has been tuned and many bugs have been fixed. Most of this work involved improving the voice chat system. Although the voice chat and sound sending system are much improved over the 1.0 version, they still work best over a high speed connection.

The chat camera also has a new button on its title bar which brings up a list of all sounds installed in the Wavs folder (which is the in the "Data Ä" folder). Any sound can be chosen and will be sent to the other players in a multiplayer game.

We also support the use of other sound formats in sound scripts and the dialog mentioned above. Any sound format supported by quicktime should work.

Other Notes

If you click on Online Connections and you get an error saying that NetSprocket cannot be initialized, it is (most likely) a memory problem. To fix this memory problem, REDUCE the amount of memory you have allocated to Links LS 2000 by 2500 K. NetSprocket is trying to use System memory and Links LS 2000 has it all.
